EDEN exists, hidden beyond the veil of normal human perception, and majick flows through the world like an invisible undercurrent. The Casters, an ancient order, are responsible for guarding the knowledge of Eden’s existence and protecting the balance between majick and the mortal realm. However, a dark faction of rogue Casters known as the Shadeshifters has been seeking the Wonderspark, a powerful artifact created from the essence of Eden itself, which was removed and hidden on Earth centuries ago to prevent its misuse.
Twins Asher and Ember, though unaware of their lineage, are at the center of an ancient prophecy foretelling that they will re-awaken the Wonderspark, inadvertently revealing its hidden location. Their awakening could mean salvation or destruction, depending on who controls the artifact.
To protect them from the enemies searching for the Wonderspark, their parents—both powerful Casters—send them off to a secluded boarding school as infants. This keeps them ignorant of their heritage and the prophecy surrounding them. As they grow, however, they begin to experience strange phenomena, powers they can’t explain, and cryptic visions of Candlewycke, the place where they were born but do not remember.
